  1. How cute is this!

Nicole said this little dog is a cross mini foxy and chiahuahua (sp) her name is Chi Chi and she already has a loving home to go to after she recovers from getting desexed today. Lucky I reckon if I was still up there Lucy would have had a play mate :hehe:

To Love Again Oh what unhappy twist of fate Has brought you homeless to my gate, The gate where once another stood To beg for shelter warmth and food? For from that day I ceased to be The master of my destiny, While she, with purr and velvet paw

  7. Hampers for animal foster carers

So dd wants to put together hampers for animal foster carers, collecting goods for the next 10 weeks and involve the school if they allow it, then put together personalised hampers for the different carers then giving them out for Easter. I have some ideas, like one carer takes orphaned baby mammals only, another one only takes adult dogs. For the one that takes baby mammals I thought formula, bottles, kitten and puppy food, and for the one that takes adult dogs I thought toys, food, dog...

  13. Where the babies at?

Check out the look on Killer's face yesterday when she heard a single baby crying (I was watching the Dexter Season 6 finale). Anytime she hears a small animal new she goes into mother duck mode, sooo funny. Excuse the towel under her, she's decided to go into season 2 weeks before she's due to be spey.

  14. Licking

I have an issue at the moment where Bella wont stop licking herself, she really gets into it and uses her teeth aswell. She made her paw bleed yesterday because she was at it for so long. It all started a couple of weeks ago when I took her for a walk and she got those little sticky, buzzy plant things stuck all through her fur. It took me a while to cut them all out and in the mean time she was really going for it..trying to get them out herself. I have checked her skin and it looks...

  18. Beautiful story

This is worth the five minutes of your time, its truly a story worth sharing especially at this time of year. Please remember to pass on the message about getting your animals from rescue organisations or ONLY from reputable breeders, no backyard breeders or puppy shops which often source from puppy farms! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NC-iYKKe_pM When you have watched it you can see stanley now! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Stanley/261016470627 You might need tissues for this...

  21. Red face Unwanted cat kibble

I got given a bag of duck flavoured Feline Holistic cat kibble recently because a my sister's cats won't eat it. I thought they might just be fussy but neither of my cats will eat it either. It doesn't surprise me that Mojo won't eat it because he's almost autistic when it comes to his kibble. But Rosie is usually receptive to most kinds of kibble, providing its not seafood. Even she won't touch it. I mixed it in with her usual kibble this morning and the little brat has eaten around the duck...

  24. 3 P's award

Went to dog obedience break up today - was a lot of fun and a BBQ and awards - as usual, awards for best trial dog, most improved dog, best junior handler (same sort of awards as most sports, I suppose) I'm only half paying attention as my dog doesnt go in trials and she never wins awards and she must be the slowest learner out there, have been in level 3 for over a year, but we go nearly every week anyway and she is slowly getting there ...anyway right at the end there is a "3P's" award -...
