  5. Sherlock Holmes

We saw this Sunday night, it was good, not great mind you, Robert Downey Jnr was his usual brilliance, Jude Law also good, but it was far too long and well to be honest a bit dry in parts. Wait till DVD, there are way better movies to see at the moment. I went and saw "We Bought A Zoo" and loved it. Iron Lady is brilliant. The new John le Carre movie "Tinker Tailor Soilder Spy" with Gary Oldman looks fantastic.

  9. Do you rent movies anymore?

Or do you just buy the DVD/download when it's released? There seems to be such a short lead time between a movie at the cinema and then released to DVD/iTunes etc. Most of the DVD shops around here are closing down. There are quite a few of those DVD rental booth things outside supermarkets though.

I'm just home after watching Midnight in Paris. What a delightful movie. Beautiful shots of Paris, of course, funny script, loads of stars, great dialogue. As soon as it finished, I wanted to see it all again.

  15. Bad Teacher

Going to see this movie next Wednesday night. It stars Cameron Diaz (whom I love) and Justin Timberlake. It looked funny in the previews, although not for those who don't like swearing I think ;)

  16. Ramona and Beezus

This was a lovely little movie, kids would like it. I really enjoyed it. Ramona's vivid imagination, unstoppable energy, and accident-prone antics are put to the test when she tries to help her family face its biggest challenge. Along the way, Ramona must deal with her over-achievingand beautiful older sister Beezus and the on-again, off-again romance between her favorite Aunt Bea and a former boyfriend.

  21. Larry Crowne - new movie with Tom Hanks

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LEdS2Vff6o Sometimes all you want to see is a movie with a good story, strong actors, and a theme that we can all relate to in one way or another, and it’s on that note that I post the trailer to Tom Hanks’ new film "Larry Crowne"... Tom Hanks, takes on the role of director, writer (along with Nia Vardalos), and star in his new film about the story of a middle-aged man who loses his job and decides to take charge of his own life and head to college…and in...

  23. "Limitless"

Saw this last night and gosh what an excellent hollywood movie. Bit like Bourne/Bond movie but it stars Bradley Cooper, he plays Eddie who is fading into oblivion before he takes an experimental drug that allows him to access "100 percent" of his brain and induces spurts of uncommon knowledge and perception, using this insight, the once-hapless Eddie springs quickly to the top of the financial world...and this is where the fun begins.. It's about power and how he utilises the power...
