  2. Inception

Went and saw Inception today really enjoyed it and so did hubby very complicated movie lot of action and special effects you have to concentrate on what's going on but I highly recommend it if you like something a bit different.

  4. Toy Story 3

I took my almost 4 year nephew to see Toy Story 3 yesterday and gosh it was soooo good, the story is lovely, and gosh my little man was so good, only went out once to the toilet and he sat and watched the whole 2 hours and loved it, of course he has seen 1 and 2 about a million times so knows all the characters, stories etc. Pixar do brilliant films - see it if you have little people in your lives - or bugger it and see it, it really is great. We only saw the normal version not the 3D,...

  6. Satc2

Well ladies - it was good - not great - just good old plain fun. :D Yes Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda are back - larger than life and with more botox than you could poke a stick at!!! My sister didn't get all the hype and I must admit I think they were stretching it a bit with the story line - and gosh it is a bit long (nearly 2 and half hours). See if it you want a laugh and really girlie flick - the music and the scenery of New York is brilliant. Thanks again Naomi - I...

  12. Avatar...the movie.

Last night I went to see the movie Avatar. It was a great movie, I really was transfixed. The special effects were so good. When I found out that was the movie I was going to see, I was a bit apprehensive, but it turned out just fine. So giving it an 8/10. :D

  14. Amelia

OK....went up and rented a couple of DVD's last night....absolutely nothing on TV and I needed to sit still and rest the bones. So, first movie watched was.... Amelia. A charming little movie with the ability to show the freedom that flight brings and that there are parts of our world that take your breath away. I don't think I have ever seen a movie where Richard Gere bombed. Hilary Swank did a good job too....wonder how close she played the real Amelia Earhart. I'm pleased that the...

  15. Cherie

I have wanted to see this since it was released...... probably because of our own Cherie....and because I had enjoyed both books that it was based on. What a disappointment. The whole movie was a credit to the wardrobe mistress and an ego trip for Michelle Pfeiffer.

  16. How to Tame a Dragon

I saw this in 3d & it was really good. A film for the grown ups as well as the kids. Treat your rug rats this Easter, imo it's up there with Ice Age & nearly as good as finding Nemo :)

  17. Julie and Julia

I did enjoy this one....... toilet breaks were not even a consideration. The story of two women, one Julia, rich in character, escaping the stodgy world of diplomatic life in Europe in the early 50's and the other Julie, a fluffy girl having to cope with the disasters of modern day life. Both find themselves through cooking, tasting and feasting on their dreams. I so totally related to the Lobster scene. :hehe:

  19. Over the weekend I saw..................

THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO.........and it was................. FANTASTIC. It goes for 2 and half hours and it's all subtitled and it was soooooo close to the book it was frightening. There are some quite disturbing scenes in the movie, but they directly correlate with the book story so you couldn't have done the movie without them. Highly recommend it ladies, HIGHLY. And if you haven't read the book, get it, get it now, cause it's fantastic too. :)

  21. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Have you read the books which are a phenomenon throughout Europe and America. They are written by Stieg Larsson, it is being called the Millenium Series, he has sold more books in France than J.K Rowling. He died in 2004 after the third book was written and sent to his publishers. I for one are hanging to see this movie and can't believe that Australia is a year late in releasing this movie here. Now it won't be everyone's cup of tea - it is dark and very violent and being directed by...

As a non member of the Russel Crowe fan club, I can say that this is a real departure from his past roles...........and he does it well. A few laughs, lovely scenery beautifully shot and a nice little storyline. Go and see it Ladies.

  25. The Blind Side

Go see it - it is for everyone - has no swearing, has no sex, has no violence and it is just a really nice "feel good movie" and no it is not all about American football - though it does show how the skill is needed to play this game, Sandra Bullock gives a very canny performance as a Southern Republican with a heart of gold (her hubby in this has the patience of a saint). It is based on a true story about Michael Oher who is taken in by the Touhys, a well-to-do while family who help him...
