I tried doing my own web page years ago when there was less tools than there is now and I know how frustrating that was and never finished it so somewhere out there is half of me floating around in cyber space... go for it girl you will get there.......

Sorry I missed this thread when it first started. Have you had a look at http://www.etsy.com/
Its set up for the kind of thing you are trying to do. I have friends in the US and Aus who have been selling their home made goodies for years via etsy.
