Your top 5 books of all time!
Out of pure boredom and the desire to read a new book, i would like to know everyone's top 5 books of all time
mine are:
1. The Pelican Brief- John Grisham
2. The Trophy Taker- Lee Weeks
3. Whiteout- Ken Follet
4. The Life and Death of Charlie St Cloud- Ben Sherwood
5. The Rainmaker- John Grisham
Yeah 2 John Grisham ones made it in there- he is a pretty good author, but that is another discussion for another thread.
If you're able to be yourself, then you have no competition. All you have to do is get closer and closer to that essence.

Re: Your top 5 books of all time!
OOOOOKAY. I am a MEGA book fiend.
1. A Fortunate Life - Albert B Facey - I am not usually into autobiography so when I find one I like it really stands out. This man is a truley incredible person and it's an unbelievable tale of life in early Australia. Beautiful book.
2. Going Solo - Roal Dahl - Another Autobiography also fantastic. It's about when he became a fighter pilot flying Hurricanes during WWII. You don't need to be a pilot to appreciate it either. It's an incredible tale written with, of course, his fantastic sense of humor and spin on stories!
3. Magician - Raymond Feist - Great fantasy book. Part of a HUGE series that is fantastic. The whole series is based on a planet and moves through time so you are never stuck with the same characters so you don't get bored.
4. The Reality Dysfunction - Peter F Hamilton - First of the Nights Dawn Trilogy - Awesome AWESOME SciFi books, I like scifi but not the starwars type. These books are incredible and also HUGE each over 1000 pages!
5. Obernewtyn - Isobelle Carmody - A not very well know Australian writer. This book is actually young adult fiction. I came accross it when I was in primary school I am still waiting for the last book in the series due to be published this September
. Wonderfully written supensful... kinda fantasy but still within the realm of possibility about children with ESP type abilities living in a post nuclear holocost world that has gone back to the farming ages where all technology is banned. It's fantasy but there is such emotion to these books and the way she writes.

1. The Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich.
2. Working For The Devil by Lilith Saintcrow. (there are more in the Dante Valentine series, but this one I particularly love.
3. Guilty Pleasures by Laurell K Hamilton (yes there are more in this series as well, but this book just went *click* with me.)
4. Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz.
5. You Slay Me by Katie MacAlister.
