    I watched Beautiful Kate and I also felt uncomfortable with the theme of the movie, it was well acted though. Not one for my collection.

    DS got it out for me the other night as he knew I liked Aussie movies...I watched it with DH .....felt uncomfortable too wouldnt say I enjoyed it at all.
    I do love Bryan Brown and Rachel Griffiths though.

    I do ,I did watch it and as I said I personally didnt like it....to each their own I seen previews for Precious and thought it would be good but maybe not .

    I saw it last night and really liked it (despite the subject material), an epic performance by Ben Mendelsohn who never seems to get the kudo's he's due. I watched parts of it with the audio commentary on and Rachel Ward was saying some very interesting things about why they chose to cut some scenes and how it affected the overall tone of the film.

    It's disturbing in spots, but overall I thought very worth watching.
