    Eyesight

Just interested to know how many people are blind (like myself) or still have great eye sight (I envy you!!!) I need glasses now for everyday use (didn't need them as much as I do now!)

I used to wear glasses about 10yrs ago for reading and such. But I got hit in the head with a football one day, and they got a little mangled. I never bothered to go back and get new ones.
I have been meaning to go and get my eyes tested, and possibly get new ones, but just never get around to it

Yes I wear glasses, I have since I was about 28, I think some medications I take have made my eyesight even worse. My Hubby also wears glasses and they are very similar in shape and size to mine...many times we have woken up and put each others glasses on by mistake!

Oooh naughty Leigh! I recently went to the optometrist and I have to say he gave me the most thorough eyesight check LOL I was in there for about an hour after which he persuaded me to try contact lenses.. which I thought I would never be able to do. It was pretty interesting! Go do it gal.. you get it free every 2 years with medicare.

Patricia - That's interesting about the medication.. I would never have thought that to affect eyesight.... And funny about you and your husband at least I won't ever have that problem here!

I wear glasses for reading - my left eye is slightly turned out, so technically I'm not far sighted as I can still read fine without glasses, I just get headaches if I do it for too long!

I've worn glasses for since I was 12. It started off only for reading the blackboard but over the years it has graduated to full time wearing. I used to wear contact lenses but developed a problem so back to glasses. I must admit I don't mind wearing glasses particularly over recent times with such nice frames. I usually get new frames every 12 months.

I have worn glasses for my short-sightedness since I was about 15. For years, I just had to wear them for driving, or at the movies, but now I'm finding that I wear them pretty much all the time.

I also don't mind wearing glasses either, especially when they have so many nice frames these days. I managed to score a pair of Versace ones for half price a few months back which are really nice and so comfortable to wear.

I don't wear glasses but i probably should I haven't had my eyes tested for years. I do know that things are a bit blurry if they are far away
