Re: Eyesight
Gloria, how much are you willing to pay for specs? When I went in to Laubman and Pank they were showing me glasses that started at $250 but because of the shape of the lense (kind of the square/rectangular ones) it was going to be another $250??? THe last pair of glasses I paid for was max $250 all up!!! Am I getting ripped off? I don't need any special prescription either...

Re: Eyesight
Monty, I've paid around $500+ mark for new frames and lenses. My lenses usually cost over $250, they are ones that have to be especially ground, complicated prescription. And then frames on top of that.
If you are concerned about the price you got from L & P, go to another glasses place. Do you have Optical Superstore near you? They are supposed to sell frames at 50% discount?

Re: Eyesight
I have had to start wearing glasses to read the last few years. I did have glasses a long time ago, but never wore them. Now I can't read anything without them.

Re: Eyesight
I've had my glasses (8 months?) and I've become so dependant on them. PITA! I'm always leaving them somewhere stupid. I flicked them up onto my head once like sunnies and spent the day looking for the bastards, until they fell off when I went to the loo
