    Re: Losing Weight

To lose weigh, a couple of rules are:
Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.
Walking is the best form of exercise.
    Do not eat after 7.30pm
Always have a healthy breakfast..not necessarily a large one..
Try to eat three small meals a day, with a healthy snack in between meals.
    Hope this helps.
    I have just lost 14 k's. in 3 months

You should wait two hours before exercising. I so need to get motivated but I lack the motivation!

    Re: Losing Weight

It's good that you are waiting a couple of hours before exercising after you've eaten. Eating after exercise is actually good for you because exercise lowers your appetite. As for healthy snacks, nuts and musli are great, and fruit for plenty of fibre to keep you full inbetween meals. To be honest my diet is terribly unbalanced - I eat very heathily and avoid cakes, biscuits, pudding and slices, and most things sweet. I only eat about two meals a day though. A late lunch and then dinner (obviously not recommended if you ask any dietitian/nutritionist). I have lost about 8 kgs without trying. I am actually underweight now according to my BMI, but I look and feel healthy.

If the weather is crappy then you can focus a lot on strength training at home. Crunches, sit-ups, push-ups, lunges, squats, weights. Have you tried pilates?
Boxing and kick boxing are really great for losing weight and also strengthening and toning muscles too. I plan to take up kick boxing to strengthen my muscles, and to tone and tighten up a bit. I may be slim but my shape could use some fine-tuning.
