Re: Empty Nest Syndrome
Well, I had my pedicure today. It was great although a bit rushed. That was my fault though because I was five minutes late.
I went in and chose some polish, then I was taken to a room with relaxing music playing and hopped up on a bench/bed thing, that was covered in thick, beautiful towels. They had some kind of oil burning too and it was nice. Then the sheila clipped my nails and got this metal thing and she rubbedhalfthe dead skin on my foot away. Then I got a foot massage which was lovely and then she put the dark red polish on. My tootsies look good and I'll definatly do it again when I have another $30 to waste on myself

I thought it was well worth it. I went to Ella Bache, maybe you have one there?

Re: Empty Nest Syndrome
Haven't been able to get a pedicure in Cackle.....for a couple if reasons but it certainly sounds like you had a lovely experience and for a very reasonable price. Doubt when I am able to have one I will be able to do anywhere near as well as $30.00.

Re: Empty Nest Syndrome
I'm having a better week this week thanks MOC. Doubt I have felt the last of my "down" time and like most forms of "grief"......there are different stages. For this week I have chosen to remove myself from "home" and have taken myself off down to our beach house. A modest little abode in need of much "TLC". A few days out of the "same old same old" together with a luncheon with some girlfriends on Friday......has put a brighter slant on this week.

As a point of interest........I said in my original post that DH wasn't feeling the empty nest.....but I now believe he is......just in a different way!!!!!

Re: Empty Nest Syndrome
Sounds like bliss.....a few days away might make you feel so glad to be back home that you will forget the empty feeling.
I am beautiful inside and out so I should love myself unconditionally.

Re: Empty Nest Syndrome
Reckon you might be right there Heather. As much as I love being at our "humble" retreat I am now missing the creature comforts of home. I am fortunate that DH encourages me to get away for a few days and being here certainly alleviates the "useless" feeling because whatever I do here to make this place a little less humble....is a bonus.
Thank goodness I am fortunate enough to have a mobile which allows access to the Internet.....so can keep up to date with you all on AFW!!!!
