All you can do is hope and pray that your teachings will keep him safe. Parenthood has such a range of highs and lows, doesn't it?
I am beautiful inside and out so I should love myself unconditionally.

Re: Empty Nest Syndrome
I still miss all my kids. I think it's the company mostly and the laughs.
My son has leave and is coming home on Moday for a week. That's going to be great! You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only option left.

Yes, I can tell that even when we've chatted over the phone. Funny though in a way that makes me sad. The boy has gone and a man is taking his place.
For a weird reason I'm feeling down today. I know why but don't want to go into it.
On the up side I will enjoy his company for the week. I'm looking forward to that. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only option left.

Not long now till you see your son again, that will help brighten up your world Cackle
and I do hope that low feeling and whatever is causing it passes by quickly!

Re: Empty Nest Syndrome
Hi SD , I know just how you are feeling as my youngest is moving to Perth for a girl , I like her but I just feel it is the wrong reason to be moving but as everyone has said... just have to hope that what we have taught him will be enough
He is 19 and thinks he knows it all and I cant see it lasting as she is so young but he has to find out for himself
Cackle I hope you have a great week with your boy , you must be so proud of him
I am off next week to Perth for a few days , I need a daughter fix and it will be nearly a month since she moved.... I have amazed myself at how long I have lasted
, no not really I have a dear friends 40th on that weekend so killing 2 birds with one stone
so nice to talk to others about this , thanks

Re: Empty Nest Syndrome
Leilani.....its hard hey ....they do think they know everything .....DH said to DS about what he was leaving behind as he was talking about selling it .....Hubby told him ...dont you think its best to leave it here so if it dont work out you still have it ...DS replied "guess so " so I guess he isnt completely 100 % sure of it all.
Hope you have a wonderful time with your DD and at your friends party
here anytime you need to talk
