Supporting small business's

are you mindful of supporting smaller business's when you shop or you dont give it a second thought....

i try to buy my newspapers at the newsagent flowers at the florist etc.....
a lot of these smaller business's are family run also....
and i think it keeps the bigger shops honest...

Hell yes....I grew up in the days before large Supermarket chains, when you walked up the street to get some sausages or chops for that nights dinner.
Don't know about keeping the chains honest.....but they are sure doing their damnest to knock the little guy out.

without the small guys they could charge anything so i guess in that way there keeping the big boys from hiking up prices....

i bet thats hard work....

Yep I have my fav little stores I buy from....I also prefer handmade so its more special

and of course i love the fruit and vege shops...much fresher

Oh ja.... most of the locals - green grocer, home industries, butcher and so on....

Miss those days H - we used to have the fruit and veg cart come to our street twice weekly, daily milkman deliveries - also those days, could place a call for mostly all grocers and such delivered to ones home.....
