Re: My Sister
Sorry to hear that Di wish there was more they could do to help her good that she has family and friends to look after her.
TO KNOW SOMEONE HERE OR THERE WITH WHOM YOU FEEL THERE IS AN UNDERSTANDING IN SPITE OF DISTANCES OR THOUGHTS UNEXPRESSED----THAT CAN MAKE OF THIS EARTH A GARDEN.

Re: My Sister
It would be a very hard choice to make, to give up the limited independence she now has, and has struggled to maintain, even for a short time.
I am beautiful inside and out so I should love myself unconditionally.

Re: My Sister
Bloody arthritis......I've seen what it has done to my mum and she is nowhere near as bad as your poor sister.

Re: My Sister
Will herquality of life be a lot better if she has the operation Di? Or will there be only a little difference? What a hard decision for her to make

Re: My Sister
I envy all of you lovely ladies who have sisters. I have a brother and he is a great guy......however, it's just not like having a sister to share your life with. Through good and bad.

Re: My Sister
Thanks girls,
I don't really know what knee replacements will do for her, i guess they might make a little difference because when they lock up all the time she is in even more pain but we just don't know how she will cope,My other sister & i were talking on the phone thismorning & it is seeming like a wheelchair is very near now, we have been saying for about 10 years that she will need one soon but her strengh to push on saved her i think, but now i can't see anything saving her
I have let my sister know that if our sister has the operation, i will go down there for a couple weeks if needed because my other sister can't do it on her own, the cripple sis does have a 31 yr old daughter but she lives in QLD & needs to work, so i am just waiting to hear when she decided what to do

Gee that's awful.
Your poor sister. I'm sorry to hear she's been having such a rough time and in such pain. Best wishes to her whatever she decides to do.

Re: My Sister
My other sis just phoned again lol she thinks of something else the Dr said to our sis & rings me
she said that the Dr asked how she copes with her hands, because her knuckles have long gone as well, she really is a twisted tortured looking mess
our sister just looked at the Dr & started to cry. She never lets anyone see her cry, even when we were kids she always acted the tough one

My sister is a massive part of my life and I couldn't bear to see her in pain like that... I really do feel for you and your sister Di, I hope whatever decision she makes helps to make her life a bit easier.

loved this one, I mean life was nasty and ppl had their little ways of coping and getting through those hurrendous times, power to them
