Bran Nue Dae
Cherie said on the weekend to go and see this movie I went with a GF and watched it last night. I loved it!
I cant get the song out of my head " There is nothing I would rather be than to be an Aborigine"
Ernie Dingo and Geoffrey Rush were brilliant and Magda always adds a bit of humour
It was a musical quirky very tongue in cheek it reminded a bit of Young Einstein that sort of Aussie fun.
Loved it!

Not having been a fan of "Young Einstein", would that stop me from renting it when it comes out on DVD?
I am beautiful inside and out so I should love myself unconditionally.
Weather it be or weather it not Heather complains 'cause it's far from hot
Her disdain for the rain is catching on quickly To Mad Old Cow she can be quite prickly
Grab jumper, a scarf or even a dog.
That'll warm you up, you jolly great snob!!

Absolutely not. It is a very funny movie..although if you didn't grow up in the sixties, I think you may not understand it completely. I have a friend who is Russian, she saw it and thought it was silly. But all my friends thought it was great fun.

Really it must be past my generation - found it tried too hard.

Like I said it is a sixties thing, if you didn't grow up with it, you may not understand it as we do. It was not a serious movie at all, just totally over the top.
With movies of any sort whether you love them or hate them..I think a lot depends on your expectations.
