It's in your setting Jen. hang on..
Go to Account Settings..Settings....Delete account. (It actually says Deactivate Account..down the bottom of the page.)

    Re: Deleting Facebook account

My friend wants to delete her account, she tried going to delete but it keeps popping back up?? My son told her go to account setting, scroll down to log off and click. H e said that should work,if I remember to ask her, I'll let you know if it's worked.

PS When you press delete account, all your friends photos come up with their names and it says, Karl will miss you, Chris will miss you, etc etc!!

I don't think Jen wants to delete her own account OW..... I think she wants to delete a contact of her FB

    Re: Deleting Facebook account

If you deactivate the account..then down the track you want to restart it.You just have to put in your email address and password and it will come back up again with your name etc, but you will have to start everything afresh again.

    Re: Deleting Facebook account

Logging out doesn't delete your account, neither does deactivating it.

Do you want to delete a contact off your list? Go to their profile and scroll right down to the bottom of the page. On the left column there is an option for "remove as friend" or something like that ... just click.

    oops typed too slow
