Re: Nazi Germany/World War 2
There is a fictional series by Paullina Simons that is based loosely around WWII from the perspective of a couple living in Leningrad....there are three books in the series, the Bronze Horseman, Bridge to Holy Cross and The Summer Garden. There is a fair bit of smut in them which I found hard to tolerate....it kind of spoiled the reading experience for me but for others it might be ok.

Re: Nazi Germany/World War 2
So - I went to the library and they had NONE of the books mentioned!! The library in the city does have some of them so I will have to make a trip in there at some stage to get them

Re: Nazi Germany/World War 2
"All Quiet on the Western Front" a WWI story, and a very old novel written in 1929 I read it about 15 years ago and was very very impressed. Actually come to think of it I may just put it back on my book list. It is also interesting to note that it was one of the books banned and burned by the Nazi's. I think its one of those books that transcends time.

Will they send them to your library on inter-library loan?
