I just found a plastic bag with a button in the linen closet..lol.
I have a tin full of them somewhere. and OI know some are as old as 15 years ago..probably dont even have the outfit it came on anymore

I used to love playing with my nana's Button Jar when I was little. I should start one now.
I prefer it when the spare button is sewn onto the tag in the seam (like mens business shirts), it's much easier to find them if the spare is needed.
So Yomamma, if I find all my spares, would you want them? do they need to match because I think they're all different?

i am the same i have a few in a drawer too, but am hopeless at sewing anyway
never seem to need them anyway.

Any donations would be nice thankyou,they don't need to match at all makes it more creative.
Jo when Sally was at daycare they made photo frames for mothers day and decorated them with buttons,then put a photo of the child in it. It looks very good and has held together after all these years.

I have heaps but use them on my sewing as well. I actually went to Spotlight the other day & they had bucket loads for sale so I bought up big to add to the collection
