What to where - clerkship at top law firm
Hi everyone

I am about to start a clerkship at a top law firm, but I am not entirely sure what to wear. Some people in the office seem to be dressed quite casually, but others are in full suits. On the first day I was thinking I would wear a full suit, but I do not want to be over/under dressed the rest of the time.
I really want to fit in and do a great job, so I don't want to have to worry about what I am wearing, so if anyone has any tips/suggestions I would really appreciate it.
Thanks!

Try the smart/casual approach, however agree with Cherie... you'll soon get the feel once you there for a couple of days on dress code, so ja, suite would be your safest bet. Oh, and WELCOME

Hi!
Thank you for the welcome and the replies
Cherie - yes I am in Perth.
The problem with these placements are that they are only 2 weeks (then they decide if we get a position next year) so I only have a short period to impress which is why I was asking what to wear ahead of time.
I will go suit shopping this week!

It is much better to be over dressed than underdressed in my opinion, so go for a suit and as Cherie said matching shoes and handbag!
lala la la lala la la... it's Elmo's world.....

Try to keep the standard up for the two weeks then.
She really is a cutie Jen. I think she would be a great playmate. Too bad Daisy has turned me off dogs altogether.. The demanding little so and so..LMAO
How cute is this!
