The hazards of wearing long skirts/dresses!!!

Have you ever had something embarrasing happen to you in public wearing a long skirt? I love long dresses/skirts and I always am cautious when i'm out, but yesterday while at work a lady had got a bodgy trolley and one of the bars under the trolley was sticking out. She was wearing a long chiffon maxi dress and as she was coming down an aisle the dress was caught in the bar. She was franticcly trying to uncoil it and if she forced it, it would rip. A young man working with me got down and tried to get it out, he did tear the dress a bit, but it was that badly coiled up, there was nothing else we could do. But shes getting some money back, cause of the state of the westfeilds trolleys. They really need up=grading, and the young boy even offered to buy her another dress for her. luckily enough, the dressses are still available too, so she was quite happy with that and our concern.

The only thing I ever worried about when wearing dresses was "Ohnoaphobia".
I am beautiful inside and out so I should love myself unconditionally.

Weather it be or weather it not Heather complains 'cause it's far from hot

I am a jeans girl, even at my age of 60 plus. Wouldn't wear a dress/skirt if you paid me.
But Feel sorry for the lady concerned. Am sure she will be well compensated.

I wear a pair of pants that are very long & I'm afraid of getting them caught down the sides of escalators.

Once when I was walking back to my car there was a wind that blew and sent my skirt up to my ears! Quickly pushed it down and I was so embarrased and just kept looking forward and running!

Me too but I have worn a dress before. I own 2. One that I wore when my brother was married and one I found really cheap that I may or may not wear but it's there in case I want to wear it.

OK, I rarely wear dresses but I bought a couple lately (not long, knee length) and wore one when we went out for dinner last night. Speaking of hazards, dealing with stockings when you've had half a bottle of wine is right up there, in my experience.
