    Re: cleaning blinds??

We have metal venetians and i really want to clean them but cant take them off. I have once in a brief moment of insight decided to use the bbq cleaner on a cloth to clean the sticky grime and grease off the blinds. It worked really well till I couldn't be bothered anymore and gave up.

    Re: cleaning blinds??

DF was making a racket in the bathroom last night and it sounded like he was chasing something in hte blinds.
I walked in and he had a squeegee out and using the bath as a bucket for soapy water he was cleaning the blinds and it was actially working. I did sggest he put a towel on hte window sill but otherwise left him to it.

    Re: cleaning blinds??

One of the major problems with many blinds is that they tend to be dirty and attract dirt so much. Different types of blinds require different methods of cleaning but the common form is to wipe your blind with a clean dry cloth so that all accumulated dust can be removed. Using a sponge to wipe your blinds is another effective method for cleaning them on a regular basis.
