Best of luck Jade..... Daughter and her boyfriend have just been thru all that and had to give up their weekends to inspections etc. Luckily they found something pretty quickly and move weekend after this...... what areas are you looking??

The House Search - Day # 2

Snuck out of work and went to a viewing this morning (naughty!) which I'm taking instead of my lunch break... turned out to be very profitable. Not because of the house which had a long winding stairwell up to the door which would give the removalists fits when they were trying to get my fridge up there (and also, green carpet )

But strategically it was very profitable because I met the rental agent who handles my current property and played the 'I'm such a great tenant, you don't want to lose me!' card and now he's fully on board the 'Find Jade a new home train' and gave me a good tip about the property open for inspection tomorrow and a rental application to fill out ahead of time so if I like it I can drop the completed application on the agent before I leave... Not to mention told me that if the selling agents give me any more grief (long story) to tell him straight away and here's my card.

I love it when a plan comes together...

Won't it be exciting if this time tomorrow I've found a new place and put in an application... this could be the shortest house hunt in history.
