I do love scanpan though, I just rang my sister as I know she has scanpan knives. She said they are great, really sharp and come with a good sharpener. The only thing is that they are prone to rust marks (despite being stainless steel?) but as long as they are washed and dried well it isn't really a problem. She did point out that a friend of ours who is very relaxed when it comes to housework has rust stains all over hers! lol

I have stainless steel cutlery and they all get rust spots on them, same with my knives. Same with my soap dispensers - stainless steel tops but they get rusty. If it gets moisture on it and it's not dried, rust seems to still develop.
