Re: Too old fashioned
The arrangements have been made....they are just having a ciggie outside then they are off.
Feel kind of relieved.I am beautiful inside and out so I should love myself unconditionally.
Weather it be or weather it not Heather complains 'cause it's far from hot
Her disdain for the rain is catching on quickly To Mad Old Cow she can be quite prickly
Grab jumper, a scarf or even a dog.
That'll warm you up, you jolly great snob!!

Re: Too old fashioned
I am going from the begining here H so stay with me....
Yes you are the one in control of your household and your DS has to respect that and so does she..... your rules are the ojnly rules.... !!
WOW Melinda that is very polite and understanding and how all opposite partners should be......
Kids are brought up differently these days and if the parents do not lay the ground of politeness it will not happen......
I am sure I have mentioned this before but my DS lost his virginity here in my home in his bedroom with the door open while I was home.....
They know what to do...... I was livid after I found out and the girlfriend was also lying to the parents and I basically said if you do not respect my home I will tell her parents as she was 15 at the time....... It did not happen again...
Other than that the girls have had to have been in a relationship for at least one year before the guy stayed over and that was at 18...... !!..... it has not happened much so they have been taught well !!

Re: Too old fashioned
H you have received very sound advice from everyone, I certainly can add no more other than to reiterate the need for you to set boundaries; as I think Fran said we all bring up our kids differently and so it is YOUR rules that need to be adhered to and respected, no matter their ages or length of time they have been together. Good luck girlie... can't say I envy you... wouldn't want those days back again

Re: Too old fashioned
Had a long talk with Sam when he got home.......he now knows that in the future any GF would be expected to sleep separately should she stay over and that I must hear from her parents themselves that it is OK to do so....especially when they are what I consider to be under age.
Also told him that as his relationships continue....of course I may relax the rules but only when I felt comfortable doing so.
He tells me they are only at "cuddling stage" at the moment and when I asked if he could see this relationship going any further he said it is too early to tell.....just getting used to each other first.
I have noticed that in this past week he is more interested in his appearance, has shaved three times so far
and has started to do some jogging around a local oval with some friends on a regular basis...and has only drunk two bottles of Coke instead of his usual 8-9. So there are some positives.
I am beautiful inside and out so I should love myself unconditionally.

Re: Too old fashioned
I just had this weird thought.......wondering if her Mother is actually the TAS I worked with part time before she left after being cleared of mistreatment of the child in her care. I don't blame her for not telling her daughter the full story tho'.
