Which do we do to be right? On the one hand over here "they" are telling us that to make sure bed bugs etc are killed you must wash at 60* which means nearly 2hrs & on the other, we now have liquids that supposedly can wash in temps as low as 15*. We are encouraged to use quicker washing times, lower temps,less detergent but how do you know all nasty stuff ( not just dirt ) is removed if your washing at lower temps? i'm confused

it is a diemma OW.... our linen and towelling washed on long cycle irrespective... don't know if we can always believe what "they" say

Maybe she has not got a good one....

Must have a look and see if mine has a quick wash.....I usually have to wait 2 and 1/2 hours for a normal wash.
Other than that, and the fact you can't stop it and throw a forgotten item in....I like it.

Not sure whether it's the same one younger Di....I only remembered the water saving bit of it.

Ours has a pause button, can press it and add additional items if desired. There is about a 30sec wait before opening the door. Think I've had to do that once. Get pretty used to making sure that everything is in the wash before putting it on.

That is the best idea Stormy as you do only get a short time to re-open before that is it locked in for the wash !!

I bought a front loader about 4 months ago.
I always had top loaders.
Now, I find with the front loader I need to use fabric softener, the wash is a lot harder, speacially the towels. You definately need a short cycle or you could be washing all day. On the up side, it uses way less water, way less washing powder and the washing is clean and white.

That is not uncommon Cackle where towels are concerned and that is where dryers can help......

Heat is always a first priority for me where sheets and towels are concerned.....

Hang it on a line in the sun. UV rays kill pretty much any nasty you can think of, even MRSA.

well i was going to go and check them out again but i feel some of the people selling them have never used a washing machine[mainly men] so it will back to google and see what they offer, must agree with cherie westinghouse do make a good product. not so keen on lg they seem a bit tinny.

We updated a couple of years back now I think
from a top loader to an LG Frontloader I love it....use the 30min quick cycle 90% of the time

the bonus was a 10 year warranty offered too

I hated our LG front loader. We've got a miele now and I'm very happy with it. Regular cycle is 1hour18 minutes and I don't really care that much, but there is a short cycle (30 minutes) if I need it.

My sister has a top loader that works like a front loader (re energy and water usage) ... I can't remember the brand.

Maybe check out the reviews on productreviews.com.au or see if the choice website has any reviews.
