I washed it 3 times in a row & hung it up out of the way of the dog... (as in, not on the floor in a laundry basket whilst I get around to folding) and it seems to have stopped the smell. But if it spends any time on the floor in the laundry baskets then I'm screwed & it has to go through the wash again.
