Sometimes I just sit on the fence....can see the good and the bad about Boat people/refugees.

Far out. Are people really as uneducated and narrow minded as those on this show? I hope that they really are the minority. That's just ... wow.

I don't make judgements on ethnic persuasion I take people on a one to one basis met a lot of Aussies I wouldn't give the time of day to..the reason why the world is such a mess is intolerance.

It's the blanket statements that really annoyed me. "I don't like Africans" (wait, really? All of them? Just because they're from Africa?). And stated more than once, that refugees are "criminals, doing the wrong thing" (not true). And that they shouldn't be allowed to seek refugee status ... and when questioned on what they should do, given the circumstances they escaped from, saying "well their home country shouldn't be like that. I don't care about that, it's nothing to do with me, but they shouldn't be allowed to come here".

I wonder if some people really honestly can't see that it's basically luck of the draw that they were born white in a country with reasonable safety and security. It's nothing they've personally done to achieve this. Such closed-mindedness is really disheartening.

So the show really was that bad......pity those making such observations will never realise how pitiful they really are.

No the show wasn't that bad, but these are the views of the 'vounteers' who are apparently average Aussies. I thought not, until I saw some of the comments and views expressed on another website following last night's episode. It will be interesting to see what happens tonight. I hope they continue to be challenged and maybe even realise that this is a problem needing a solution beyond "go back to where you came from".
