    60s fashion for boys

I found out today that Hugo's year is doing a dance thingy in a couple of weeks, they have a dress rehearsal tomorrow and he's meant to be wearing 60s fashion. Totally not going to happen by tomorrow but they have another rehearsal next week, and the actual performance the week after.

No idea what to dress him in. There's nothing suitable in his current wardrobe, and I don't want to spent much on it because there is NO chance he will ever wear it again (his general style sense is ultra conservative) and I'm not very crafty or able to make it myself.

So what look should I aim for?

Well I think he could wear tightish pants but they should have a very strong crease right down the length of the leg, I know this because the MOTH still has to have creases in his JEANS.
They wore belts and you could add a long sleeved shirt which should be worn tucked in.

You know Mal....I love the little piccies you come up with (to the Googles)

I was going to suggest striped pants and turtle neck sweater (but was beat to it)....if he has a pair of light coloured pants that you are willing to destroy, just make straight lines using a thick marker, and being winter it will be very easy to get an appropriate sweater from Vinnies if he doesn't already own some.
I am beautiful inside and out so I should love myself unconditionally.

Weather it be or weather it not Heather complains 'cause it's far from hot

How fun is that! If you are stuck for clothes, Op shops are fantastic places to pick up all sorts of clothes and cheap!

Thanks, yeah I'm going to go op shopping. I actually got the note about it today and they aren't strictly after 60s clothes, they basically want hippy/tie-died/lurid patterns etc (which I thought was more 70s?).

No Naomi, it is more 60's. Woodstock was in 69..
It was at Nimbin we had the Aquarius Music Festival in 1973. Maybe thats why people think all the hippies came from the 70's...when actually it was a good 4 years before.
