For The Casuals I meant to say I didn't like the way it was written in the 1st person not the third person..Chickenbub I agree with everything you said about it it didn't hold my attention for long but not my usual genre' someone may like it.
TO KNOW SOMEONE HERE OR THERE WITH WHOM YOU FEEL THERE IS AN UNDERSTANDING IN SPITE OF DISTANCES OR THOUGHTS UNEXPRESSED----THAT CAN MAKE OF THIS EARTH A GARDEN.

OK...have only half an hour for lunch? Want something easy to read that can be picked up again the next day and the days after? Then get Diagnosis Male, especially if you can appreciate the male perspective and medical procedures.

Servo
A cute little book of photos of petrol stations around the country. I was really put off because the photos are all black and white, and they've reused the transpose of a photo on something that's supposed to look like corrugated iron too often.
There were some servos from my childhood (Rushworth, Vic) and it isn't too odd that these are the two most interesting photos for me.
On the upside I enjoyed looking over the architecture of the past and how the advertising has changed. Older photos with more authentic cars or the original advertisement would have been more interesting, or maybe have it mixed into photos of old cars or oil tins.

Rocky Elsom
Leader of the Wallabies
This book was ok if you understand the game of rugby and a follower of the game. I would have liked a bit more of his personal life to be in the book it seemed to concentrate a lot on the footy.
I understand Biographies are about the person and Rocky Elsom comes across as a very strong and determined young man.
But for the author to have him portayed along with Weary Dunlop and Leonardo da Vinci was I thought a bit over the top.
