    I still have real books Deb and there are some books that I wouldn't get for Kindle. Mainly the ones that have lots of graphics that rely on colour.

    But it was great having it on holidays - saves having a load of travel guides taking up room and weight in the suitcase.

    I just got an early Christmas present a Kindle I agree Stormy they are good but I still like my books it's just an added dimension I do love it though.
    TO KNOW SOMEONE HERE OR THERE WITH WHOM YOU FEEL THERE IS AN UNDERSTANDING IN SPITE OF DISTANCES OR THOUGHTS UNEXPRESSED----THAT CAN MAKE OF THIS EARTH A GARDEN.

    I have been trying to find books I read when I was younger. I am after R F Delderfield's God is an Englishman ( of course he was! ) & the two follow ons. I have founf other books by him but I already have these in paperback. Help

    Try this link...http://www.ebook3000.com/God-Is-an-E...man_32620.html. It is a PDF file so to read it comfortably you will need to use calibre to convert it. If you have trouble I can do it for you and email you the mobi file. What are the other two books called?

    I got as far as downloading the pdf file but it has failed ...twice will try again tomorrow.... or maybe just order the paperbacks... You know I am an advocate of Homer Simpson... "If at first you don't succeed....give up"

    You can't download PDF straight onto Kindle because the format isn't compatible. I can convert it and email it to your Kindle if you would like or get CB to do it.
