Oh no, that is terrible. Seems to happen more with 4wd's to me. I understand them out bush but I hate seeing 4wds in cities, I just don't see the point. They should all be fitted with reversing cameras as well, it is just too hard to see behind in them.

That's so tragic. There's so much to be said for reversing out of driveways SLOWLY and looking over your shoulder (the mirror misses too much!)

I want to make my driveway so it loops around which means no need to reverse. I have a garden bed out the front and can take the driveway up behind that and out the other way. Too many little kids near us without supervision. Too many hoons that come around that corner and don't slow down one iota. When my yard is fixed and the house is fully painted the next thing will be that driveway but that will take a little while probably. I wish people had other options than to back out. I'm lucky that it won't be too difficult to change mine but others woudln't be able to.
