    Sizing, so irritating grrr

I bought a raincoat for Hugo today. I didn't really want to spend much because he uses it so rarely, so I just went to Big W. They had one style of raincoat only, in two colours (fair enough, it's not really seasonally popular at the moment). But the sizing went 4-6, 8-10 etc. There were no in between sizes. Why is that? There's a huge difference between 6 and 8, why wouldn't they do the in between sizes?!

I think because they think it is a seasonal thing, and you may grow faster. hence giving you room to move through the sizes..Raincoat makers do not seem to be in the fashion area for school children sadly..Keep them all uniform, in their big daggy yellow raincoats.

Its a bloody pain, I have the same trouble when buying Knickers for Briar, she has a little backside and 6 to 8 are way to big but reluctant to buy 4 to 5 when she is nearly six a six year old bum is not as big as a 8 year olds

Have you ever been bra shopping with someone who isn't a "normal" size?

I spent 3 hours the other day in a bra shop..... 3!! HOURS!!!

Binx, My mum used to buy her Bra's from a place in WA.. They were always lovely and modern. Mum was a plus size and it was impossible to find Bra's locally.
    Take a look here.

It's not so much that they do double sizing in a single garment, I can live with that, it's that there is NO 6-8 option. It's literally 4-6, 8-10, 12-14 (it even says so on the packaging, along with a graph that provides height/measurements which leave gaps in between). It just seems really odd to me. So I got Hugo the 4-6 because it will fit him now, because the 8-10 would swim on him. I'm just glad he's not as much of a diva as Sophia, who refused to wear a t-shirt that was size 3 (even though it fits her) because "I'm FOUR! NOT THREE!"

Well I can kinda relate to Sophia's way of thinking, only in the opposite direction I refuse to wear 50 years plus clothes

You know I'm liking Sophia more and more.
I am beautiful inside and out so I should love myself unconditionally.
