    Generally a standard lasagne is put together and baked in a baking dish, then cut up and issued in a cube kind of.

    What happens with this recipe (vegetarian lasagne) a fresh (and hot) lasagne sheet is placed on the plate, then a mix of ricotta & parmesan, then a layer of roasted vegetable slices including eggplant/red pepper/zucchini (from memory)....then repeat twice, finish with some cheese mix on top and a dollop of homemade pesto (Italian parsley/pinenuts/garlic). So, in summary, it's really a stack on the plate.
