    Do you rent movies anymore?

Or do you just buy the DVD/download when it's released? There seems to be such a short lead time between a movie at the cinema and then released to DVD/iTunes etc.

Most of the DVD shops around here are closing down. There are quite a few of those DVD rental booth things outside supermarkets though.

We do sometimes when the kids are here for holiday but if they are here for 4 weeks I would say pop might take them twice at the most but we don't hire them for ourselves

Re: Do you rent movies anymore?

There's a movie I want to watch, it's available on iTunes $3.99 to rent, or $12.99 to buy. So then I think, well if I want to watch it more than 4 times ... but what are the chances of that?

(It's probably cheaper to buy at Kmart or somewhere like that).

Never been much of a movie watcher here in any format - rarely hired one and even more rarely bought one.

It's called Love, Actually which was apparently popular when it was released but I'm not much of a movie watcher either so I tend not to see stuff until it's on television but a friend recommended it so I thought I'd give it a go while I'm home alone (after the kids are in bed). Hey, it beats SVU (again!)

Can't remember the last time I rented a film

We still have ( unwatched ) Avatar, The Boat that Rocked, The Way the West was Won, Creature Comforts series 1& 2, Taggart,Frost & CSI series 1....

We have satellite TV with over 100 channels & regularly complain that there is nothing on!!

Oh, I've got a few different television series boxed sets of DVDs from when we lived in Denmark and the English language channel just showed repeats of Black Adder, the Catherine Tate Show and Air Crash investigation ... no kidding.
