    Ipod

I have an itunes library and so does my neighbour. He wants me to put my library on his ipod but Itunes won't let me because he has his own library. So, how do I do it so he doesn't lose the songs he already has on his ipod?

You can't because they don't want him to have music he didn't buy. Unless you're both on the same wireless network and then you can homeshare over iTunes but that can be a PITA when you're syncing or updating down the track.

Where are the original songs located? Were they download directly into iTunes from apple store to start with or do you have the mp3s stored on your computer somewhere? Sorry i have never purchased through iTunes so not sure how it stores them? But if you have the mp3s just pop them on a flash drive and he can load on his own computer and add to his library that way.

Not that AFW endorses stealing music in any way, shape or form.

Is it illegal to rip your own CDs to mp3 for storage and use on media player devices? Windows media player ask if that's what you want to do every time you load an audio cd on your PC so I was under the impression it was okay??

For your own personal use, no. Sharing with the neighbours, yes. Hence Naomi's comment.
