The house will wait Deb. it's all about you right now and concentrating on feeling better. Don't overdo it. Even when you think your capable, just take it easy and follow the doctors orders. Put your feet up until Jan 10th. Xmas will be great.

Deb, the house can wait I think as women we mostly tidy up & put away after ourselves & so if that is done the house gets by until we are ready, Getting over surgery is very draining on you so I suggest you put your feet up whenever you can & just take it easy & I am sure you will be feeling much better so to enjoy Christmas

Re: Recovering from a hysterectomy
I am sorry to hear you are still in pain. I had a partial hysterectomy, then 10 years later the whole lot came out. Whilst the recovery was slow and annoying, I never felt better when it was all over. I used to walk down the supermarket aisles, and grin when I passed the sanitary products, I'd say, "I don't need you anymore!".
I know when you are recovering you think that this will never pass. It will, and you will feel like a brand new woman sooner than you think. Good luck!

Re: Recovering from a hysterectomy
Hope you are well on the road to recovery. I had a full hysterectomy a few years ago, and felt like I'd been beaten up afterwards. It does get better, and is well worth the aggro.

Re: Recovering from a hysterectomy
Hi chase, I hope it all improves for you soon. If you are still in a lot of pain though I would be asking the doctor about more pain relief. If there is something that can ease the pain, while you heal i think it is worth considering.
I say from experience, the house can always wait.

Orthopedontery - love it!! LMAO I was telling a perpetually single friend about a new boyfriend I had (who is now my DH2B), and she was very keen to meet him... without thinking I blurted out...
