Home alone
With a husband who works from home, 3 kids and a boarder I am never actually alone in my house. Except for today. Everyone has gone out to see a movie and I am alone. Completely alone, except for the animals
. It is such a weird feeling. i am torn between mopping the floors while there is no one here to walk on them or just to sit and listen to the silence. Amazing how something so little can be so special when it is something you never get. Silence is golden when you never hear it...

Re: Home alone
Only hubby and I at home now after years of having a full house it's great isn't it sometimes he's a pain in the butt I love it when he goes fishing. We're both retired so he's underfoot all the time been together 36 years so you think we'd be used to each by now.

Re: Home alone
Enjoy the silence Cayte as you can mop the floors anytime when all are in bed but this seems like a special time for you so enjoy the moment....

Re: Home alone
I would mop the floors, then go have a lie down whilst no one is around to annoy me!

Re: Home alone
Well we know that I'm home alone with the Furbies......as for silence, forget it. Yesterday it was Beach Boys at full bore....today it's Moody Blues. No one to complain

Have a lie down with a good book (never have time when everyone is at home and put some of your music on.I am beautiful inside and out so I should love myself unconditionally.

Re: Home alone
Actually lie on the floor and drink gin based cocktails... that sounds like it might be a fun way to spend time alone.
