    A Poem About Cats

    To Love Again

Oh what unhappy twist of fate
Has brought you homeless to my gate,
The gate where once another stood
To beg for shelter warmth and food?

For from that day I ceased to be
    The master of my destiny,
While she, with purr and velvet paw
Became within my house the law.

She scratched the furniture and shed
And claimed the middle of my bed,
She ruled in arrogance and pride
And broke my heart the day she died.

So if you really think, oh cat
    I'd willingly relive all that,
Because you come forlorn and thin
Well don't just stand there - come on in!

And that is how it is Red......and we love them for it.
I am beautiful inside and out so I should love myself unconditionally.

    That's nice Red

    Re: A Poem About Cats

One of my cats I found at work when I was a doctor's receptionist when I was in my 20's. She was a tiny kitten and just mewing and hanging around. I bought some milk for her and said to her: If you wait here for me, I will take you home with me. And she did, she waited all day under my car, looking at me through the surgery front window. She just KNEW she was coming home with me. She was really well behaved in the car driving home too. But I know she read my mind, no doubt of that at all.
