At what age

Can I confess to never untying my laces..I just flip my sneakers off but I use a shoe horn to put them on. Still quicker than untying and tying up again.

Must admit I only have one pair of shoes with laces, I just put them on and off each time, I dont undo and redo the laces.

I have shoes with cross over straps..........I just sorta wiggle my feet in & out

My sons all tuck the ends of their laces under the innersole of their trainers & their in their 30's...............maybe they don't know how to tie a bow!!?? D

So my son 17 year old child has hope then.......You just made me realise that I only have one pair of lace ups too. They are a bit tight so I have to lace up...and unlace....it's the bending down that annoys me.

My 3 year 8 month old put her own pants on but can't manage her tops yet. She puts her slip on shoes on the right feet most of the time. She can get herself a drink of water from the dispenser from the fridge. She uses a knife and fork for practice/play only as still on soft foods, she uses them with scrambled eggs to help push the egg onto the fork with the knife.

I agree with most other comments Naomi, dont stress too much , the teachers are always willing to help the ones that cant,, no hard and fast rules , and I dont know any adults who cant do all the things listed haha , this thread made me think of my Dad, he taught the first 3 to tie their laces , what a blessing that was and then my second DS taught my youngest DS to tie his he was 6 and older was 8 as my Dad had passed on , My second DS is just that way , he is a real blessing , I love them all dearly and I dont have a favourite but somedays middle DS just brightens my world , and everyone that knows him says the same , he is a lot like my Dad
