I can understand this, lol, many times over the years I have googled how to cook corn, or how to cook prawns or how to cook any number of thngs I don't eat often so have forgotten how to cook!! I reckon recipe searches and how to's are the most looked up things on the Internet!

Microwave cooking was great. I did 8 minutes and it was great.

Just the corn in the microwave....no water or anything else?

I guess, like all appliances (except maybe fridges) there are some people who prefer not to have one - fair enough - but I dont think the health risk of microwaves should be a factor in deciding.

And if one is a smoker but is concerned about microwave safety, one has some muddled up priroities or ideas of risk assessment.

Re: Best way to cook corn

The corn I buy on the cob already has the ends cut off. I nuked it for 8 mins on high, shook it but the silks didn't all come out as promised.

Nevermind, I own dental floss so having silks in the corn didn't really phase me. It was a lot quicker than stove top steaming so it's a winner on the time saving front. I won't need to buy freezer corn anymore now.
