Farewell to Sam the yellow Wiggle :(

I don't know about any of you ladies, but my son was a massive fan of the Wiggles (and still is at times lol) which meant we had all the dvd's, cd's and toys etc. But after what they've done to Sam Moran, I won't be contributing to their already bulging bank balances.

CALLED into the office on his holidays, yellow Wiggle Sam Moran was relaxed and disarmed - unprepared.

Sam was just used by them and callously tossed aside because Jeff missed Gregs voice? Seriously???

They really are just cockroaches aren't they.

Before leaving, Greg made a speech to say that when he felt better he would trial a return. Sam always knew that it might have been temporary. He still has involvement in the band. My dd was never a fan of them, but I work in childcare so am very familiar with The Wiggles.

I think they have made a mistake, they think children are adaptable so they will forget about Sam straight sways and accept Greg. But it is the parents who choose what their kids watch, who buy the DVDs and concert tickets! Sam has been the yellow wiggle for 5 years and he is all young kids know and unless parents have older and younger children he is all the parents know as well. I think watching the interviews and seeing the true colours of the other wiggles and their behaviour is going to put parents off and less likely to encourage kids to watch the shows. Plenty of other shows to watch!

I agree LMF that Sam knew there was a chance Greg would come back but it is the way they are treating him that is the issue here. The payout he is receiving is an absolute insult and the fact that they basically said they don't give a crap what happens to him now and haven't even spoken to him shows that behind the Wiggles persona they show they are all a bit underhanded and very selfish people. Not really the sort of role models I want for my daughter.

It reads to me like he was not getting along with the others. Bit hard to go on when there is disharmony. Always two sides to a story.

I'm kinda glad my child was never a fan of theirs. Their music does my head in.

My kids were never fans so I'm finding it hard to have an emotional reaction to this. I mean, Hi5 (also not fans of in this house, THANK GOODNESS, they're worse than the wiggles) have done a complete swap of all 5 members at least once and the fans all seem to cope. Besides, when your target audience is the 2-5 year old category, you don't have to wait long until you have a complete turnover of your fan base.

just gives me an excuse not to like them again I never liked the wiggles before Sophia was born, in fact I thought they were rather creepy. After she was born all her little friends liked them and I refused to let her even watch the show because they really irritated me. But one day she started watching Dorothy the Dinosaur and liked it and then we got given tickets for a wiggles concert. So I sort of started to like them, mainly because I liked seeing Sophia happy. But she has gone off them a bit and thats fine with me, after seeing their interviews I remember why I thought they were creepy in the first place!

This is my beef.. the way he's been treated. Maybe because I've been made redundant twice in 12mths and have been treated just as poorly is why I'm a bit more sensitive to it.
