Buying Amway products?
There is a product I like to get from Amway, I used to buy it through a friend who was a distributer but thought it would be easier to just buy it online direct from Amway now as our friendship isn't that close anymore and its a bit awkward. But when I go to the website I can't seem to buy anything, it wants me to join, start a business, be a distributer blah, blah, blah. I don't want to do that I just want to buy a couple of products. Anyone know how to do that?

Re: Buying Amway products?
Surely it makes better business sense to have your products available to the general public? Crazy!!

It's just not the way Amway works. You actually make your success through recruiting others, not selling products.

I don't want to make success, I want to buy some products! I sort of get what you're saying, you make money whenever anyone you recruited recruits someone else or sells products. but at the end of the day products do need to be sold or no one will make any commission from anyone below them. My "friend" never made any success herself, she only keeps her membership open so she can buy products for herself, she hasn't sold anything for years and she never recruited anyone. The few times I have asked to buy a product or 2 through her she has acted like it was a nuisance, which is why I just don't want to bother asking her again! They have some good products though, I would have thought there would at least be some ebay sellers out there but I have found nothing!

Re: Buying Amway products?
CB, We have had people try to get us into it, but mate I would not touch it with a ten foot pole..(Joining up I mean)
Must say though, one of my best friends sells Amway and she never pushes it on us (joining) If you need products only, then I suggest you stipulate what you want with a firm attitude. Don't be afraid to upset anyone, it's part of their training to ignore you saying NO.

Re: Buying Amway products?
You might be lucky to find someone who will just sell the product, but honestly I think most will be like your friend in that they are probably harassed to sign up anyone who buys from them so it's not worth the effort. I really haven't seen any evidence they want to sell their products first and foremost - they really do seem to be geared towards recruitment. And they'd have really strict rules about ebay selling I bet, and would crack down on anyone who did pretty quickly (can't recruit people through an auction website!).

When my d.d. was looking for something to do she signed up with Mary Kaye to sell makeup she went to a few trainee meetings bought the kit which cost her a bit she wears a little makeup herself but very little, she doesn't need it she didn't last they wanted her to dress up like a Barbie doll and wear heaps of the makeup and really push buying the expensive kits instead just being able to buy one product don't think much of that sort of selling even if I like the products.

Oh I so agree RR - I detest party plans and hard sell tactics.
