Re: Wisdom Teeth - Ouch!
i had mine out about 10 years ago they used to pop up and cause an infection then go away then do it all over again....
i had the 4 out at the one time but at the hospital , it becomes harder as you get older as they seem to become more impacted.

Re: Wisdom Teeth - Ouch!
I think you can go to the doctor and get a referal to a dentist and then you can claim it back on medicare. If they are infected the dentist won't do anything untill the infection clears anyway so that might be a plan to start with.
I've had 3 wisdom teeth out in the dentist chair and believe me the relief is almost instant and it's soooooo much better without the pain.
Good luck.EARTH IS THE INSANE ASLYUM FOR THE UNIVERSE

Re: Wisdom Teeth - Ouch!
Don't you have health insurance? Surely you can get it done under this cover?

Re: Wisdom Teeth - Ouch!
i thought the doc could only give the referall for medicare under special circumstances..like a medical problem had caused the dental problem....
if not then why do people whinge about dental care if its all for free.....Sparkles

Re: Wisdom Teeth - Ouch!
I dont have private health insurance, unfortunately! Something I really need to do.
It isnt too bad today actually, just the gum is sore...most of the jaw pain has stopped.
Hopefully they will get back in their box for the next couple of weeks and give me some peace....“Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.”

Re: Wisdom Teeth - Ouch!
You can only get free dental with private cover or a pension card with the pension you go on a waiting list unless it's an emergency you wait a long time..they tell you to look after your teeth but it's exxy can be $200 just for a tooth out or a filling..I think you can only get any money back from medicare for the anaesthetic not the actual dental depends on what state you're in I think been a while since I've been to the dentist, like when you get your eyes done the testing is covered but you still have to pay for everything else.

Apparently she will not benefit dollar wise as it will be because of a crime she has been convicted of and apparently it does not matter this has happened overseas. Any profit that has been made from...
