Another Mobile thread
I have been dragging the chain about updating my mobile plan. I was thinking of recharging monthly, but the benefits are not as good as a plan, so I am thinking I may go on a $29 plan. This would mean I can get HTC Sensation with $180 included calls, unlimited vodafone to vodafone and 3, unlimited FB plus 200mB of data. OR I can get for $34,an iphone 4 with 8GB. Plus all the rest.
The salesgirl told me today that the Sensation was more popular and much better than the iphone..
Question is:
Do you own either of these phones and if so are you satisfied.
These are the two choices I am looking at.
DH is with Telstra because he needs coverage for his job, but I don't. Plus I am not an avid caller, it's just for necessity.

Re: Another Mobile thread
Talk to other people in your area who are on vodafone. I left them about a year ago because their coverage was SO poor. I'm not a huge phone user but even so, it was ridiculous. I have friends in the area who are still with vodafone and still have the same issues. I'm much happier paying a bit more for telstra because at least I can use my phone when I need to. Unlimited doesn't mean much if you have no service.
I'm happy with my iPhone 4, no issues at all (other than my children constantly wanting to play the games on it). Husband has a 4S and is very unhappy. Battery life is rubbish, just disappointing. He also has the new BlackBerry and loves it. No experience with the HTC.
*re vodafone coverage - we live less than 10km from the city atcf, I just think if they can't provide coverage here, I wouldn't have much confidence overall.

Re: Another Mobile thread
I'm with Vodaphone but we have excellent coverage around here the only time I couldn't get coverage was at the surf club on Bribie and when I go to the country areas which is not very often but I'm also looking at a new plan I like my phone I have prepaid but I'm not connected to the internet works out too exxy with prepaid.
TO KNOW SOMEONE HERE OR THERE WITH WHOM YOU FEEL THERE IS AN UNDERSTANDING IN SPITE OF DISTANCES OR THOUGHTS UNEXPRESSED----THAT CAN MAKE OF THIS EARTH A GARDEN.

Re: Another Mobile thread
I completely disagree with the sale girls - although I don't work sales the iPhone4/4S is far more popular than the HTC Sensation.
There won't be a 'matching' offer by Telstra because Telstra doesn't price match on the plans.
The Vodafone website says that along with the $29.00 cap plan you can get:- iPhone 4S for $18.00 per month,
- HTC Sensation XL for $10.00 per month,
- Galaxy Nexus for $16.00 per month,
- Samsung Galaxy SII for $5.00 per month,
- HTC Sensation for $0.00 per month, &
- iPhone 4 for $5.00 per month.
Out of all those phones I would suggest the Samsung Galaxy SII or the Galaxy Nexus.
But... the question C is; how often will you be utilising smart features for these phones? On the Vodafone $29.00 Cap plan you only get 200MB of data which isn't a lot.

Re: Another Mobile thread
Thank you for the replies.
Naomi, Thank you, I know it drops out a lot but I am not a big talker on my mobile, the coverage thing is not a worry. I have a spare telstra mobile for emergencies on a 365 day recharge set up already.
Binx, thank you for the info. I am only trying to decide on the Sensation for $29 or the iphone for $34 a month.
Yes I would love the Samsung Galaxy S11 or the Nexus, problem is they are not on the plan I can afford. I was reading about them in the PC Magazine.
Salesgirl told me 200MB of data would be enough for me when I told her that I do most of my internet work on the PC.
