Re: Qld floods
I have a couple of theories.
I think we have created so many roads and put up so many buildings and disrupted the land so much, turning it into a concrete jungle in enough areas that we have adversely affected the natural flow of the water, which leads to flooding in other areas.

We have pissed Mother Nature off and now have to deal with the back lash.Vegetarian, nature loving, instinctive parenting working mother. It works for my family

Re: Qld floods
We have an area near us that was designated a green wedge the whole area is a flood plain we have levees everywhere the council has decided to change to industrial if they do that won't be too bad for us but it will push the heavy rain falloff to the next area that borders on our council area to another and it's been proven that they will flood, the other council is kicking up a fuss.We had a flood last year around here the first I've ever seen since I've lived here in 22 years came up to our front step we lost some houses further back nearer the creek. Not on the same level as Q'ld but if they go ahead with their plans could get worse.
TO KNOW SOMEONE HERE OR THERE WITH WHOM YOU FEEL THERE IS AN UNDERSTANDING IN SPITE OF DISTANCES OR THOUGHTS UNEXPRESSED----THAT CAN MAKE OF THIS EARTH A GARDEN.
