Buying it seemed like a good idea, but now not so much. It is strong and in a good area as far as flooding and cyclones go, but it's so much money all the time.

I suspected termites and got a free test from Amalgamated Pest Control. They came out with a moisture sensor, which apparently is the sure-fire way to test for them. I called them because I heard scuttling sounds in the walls but I'm pretty sure now it must have been cockroaches. Anyway it cost me nothing so you should try them.
