The only placemats I own are a burnt orange coloured bamboo ones. If I have someone over for dinner, then I will use a nice tablecloth. I have a few little things around the house that I am sentimental about, but normally I don't get too attached to material things.

Love the little dogs Lei.

I also use a tablecloth Jenni. Whenever we eat at the dinner table. I tend to use placemats on occassion, but not always.
My Godmother who is 81, recently sent me a beautiful crochet edge supper cloth my gran had made her for her mother years ago. They had been such good friends all their lives. I was very happy she had thought to send it to me, she could well have given it to her daughter.

I don't have a lot of things that Sam has given or made for me (he was going thru'a dark time after his father left and he smashed or broke just about everything precious to me) but I treasure those I do have.

I gave my son a dustbin bag full of odds & ends yesterday, inside he found three tortoises that his Great Aunt had made for him & his brothers when they were small. He was chuffed to bits
& I was cos he was!
