Diane (and other steak sauces)
Sort of picking up on the Parmi comments the other day.
What sauces do you like on your steak or schnitzel?
I do like a good Parmigiana, also sometimes pepper or mushroom sacue.
They do a Hawaiian here too which I think is basically pineapple added to the Parmi - pineapple and schnitzel dont go together in my book so I dont have that one.
Surf and Turf is another popular combination - steak and prawns on top.
Thats not really my style either though.
Or do you just have it plain old gravy or no topping at all?
A naked steak, so to speak.
Actually I dont eat much red meat so I wouldnt have steak, would be chicken schnitzel for me.
What would you choose?

Schnitzel.....naked but for a squeeze of lemon. But my steak I like with a mushroom sauce, or pepper, or garlic.....whatever I feel like on the night.

I don't go for sauces on my meat just like my steak medium rare when I go out I think a good piece of meat doesn't need it,I like gravy with a roast parmigiana is o.k. with the topping on it.

Nothing on chicken schnitzel. If it's a good steak, I like it med rare, with a dash of mustard on the side, but no sauce as such.
In Germany I had a really nice veal (I think?) schnitzel with an amazing mushroom sauce on it. So good. Usually I wouldn't have a meat/sauce combo though.

yes i think its something that you have to really think about to be able to acutally do........sometimes there can be a trigger for this also.
