Signatures???

Why am I not allow to have a Signature?

I went in to help to find out how to add one and followed the link to set one up and it says I am not allowed.

you might need so many posts Jo , not sure though
this more than likely would be to stop people spamming , or maybe joining up to provide links to sell things...
but i am sure someone else will know for sure......

Go to the top of this page where it says FAQ and check it out there Jo..Other than that, go to settings, edit signature..
Here look I did it for you..
How do I set signatures, avatars and profile pictures?
You can set and change your signature, avatar and profile picture in the User Control Panel (providing the administrator has made these options available).
For signatures, click on 'Edit Signature' under the 'Settings and Options' area of the navigation bar within the User CP.
To select an existing or upload a new avatar, click on 'Edit Avatar'.

It may be that the mods haven't allowed it as of yet.
Jo, don't worry, just keep posting and it will happen.
Of course, if your signature is advertising something, it may be disallowed.

I dont know about signatures on this board - but, as Melinda said, I know some boards wont let you until x number of posts - to stop spammers.

On this board you can have an avatar from day dot - I know people have had avatars as soon as they joined - maybe try an avatar first.
