I had some pretzels last night but I have given up smoking or maybe the bacardi makes me smoke
I can remember the army cooks would have a fag hanging out of their mouth while cooking god knows how much ash went in the stews

OMG imagine if anyone smoked while preparing food these days
I remember one of my dads GFs was the same, we had a party for dads 50th & she did loads of cooking, & here was this most gorgeous lemon slice with passionfruit jelly on top ( I loved her slices) so i had a look & thinking, I loved this slice & then I notice something set into the top of the jelly, it was'nt just one bit, it was all over it !!! & my sis & I were saying to each other "OMG what will we do" so we asked her 'could it be ciggie ash' & she just said, without blinking' "it's just a bit of ash it won't kill anyone"
We could'nt throw it out because she would have kicked up so we cut the slices aound the ash
