    Yeah I think you would have to be a mad keen baker to get the Kitchenaid. They are very swish and I'm sure that it does a superb job but I didn't want to bleed my play money account by that much.

    I'm so glad I saved so much in there while I was still working/paid full time because then I don't feel guilty about buying stuff like this.

    Ohh I like that one. Did you get the pro, with the lights. Everything is better with lights!

    We bought a cheaper kenwood stand one a few years ago for the purpose of making pizza dough. I've only used it once for that as I found just using your hands was easier. Plenty of cookies and cakes in it though and its great

    Looking to upgrade a little. Let us know how you go with it.

    Everything is better with lights....and colour. Will let you know how it goes....I'm thinking of making a pizza tomorrow so it will be a good test of the dough hook.

    You know I just never would have thought of doing that to chicken with a bench mixer before.
