caffeine withdrawal
I'm trying to give up caffeine for a while - I don't have much, probably 3 or 4 cups of tea a day, occasionally a coffee (espresso or plunger). So I've been having decaf tea and no coffee and have had a head-ache every day this week. I just made myself a weak coffee and the headache is gone. Maybe the headache is a withdrawal thing?

Re: caffeine withdrawal
HI Naomi,
The same thing happens to me! I proably do drink too much coffee, at least 5 a day. And if I go a day or so without, I have headaches ..I had a cup of coffee and I couldn't believe how quickly my headache went. So yes, I think it must be a withdrawal thing. Makes me realise I do drink too much coffee

I don't drink coffee at all and only tend to drink teas that have little or no caffiene like Jasmine) so I can't really help you.

Re: caffeine withdrawal
I have my inlaws staying at present and they are big consumers of both tea and coffee. I drink decaf tea myself. Anyway first time they visited they made themselves tea for breakfast. MIL comment that she must be really tired from the drive up as she had to have three cups of tea at breakfast and she still couldn't get up and go. Worked it out later on that it was my decaf tea and they were suffering withdrawl symptoms.
Not quite sure why I drink decaf tea as I drink Pepsi Max..LOL

Re: caffeine withdrawal
My OH's sister had to give up chocolate, tea, coffee and wheat amongst other things and she got the headaches each day and the sweats!!! It sounds like nicotine withdrawals doesn't it??
I have one coffee a day, and since winter has come around have started drinking tea . If I don't have my daily coffee or a tea I don't seem to get headaches, I drink more water tho so maybe that helps?

Re: caffeine withdrawal
I have been trying to cut down on the coke this week. I would go through maybe 8 1.25 bottles a week, not just me, but mostly me
I haven't noticed too much, have still been having the little bit here and there. I am fairly good with water, when I am in the mood to drink it. Will just have to get into the habit. Have been drinking about 2lt a day.
One good thing that has come from it. I have lost 3kg since I was in hospital last Monday

Re: caffeine withdrawal
I accidently bought decaf once & drank it for a week before I even realised
& had no problems, I must drink about 4 or 5 coffees most days
